Our Family Vacation

We recently returned from our first EVER family vacation that wasn't to visit family. Though we did visit some on our way.  We took the week and a half that included the kids fall break and we all went to go on a church history tour.  It was so amazing and I highly recommend it!

Here is a snippet of our trip.  We started in Oklahoma, Drove to justin's brothers house in Waynesville, Missouri, continued on to Carthage, IL, Nauvoo, IL then to Adam-Ondi-Ahman, MO; Far West, MO; LIberty, MO and Independence MO then on to our home.  In all we were gone from October 4 to October 12. We had an amazing trip and hope to do it again sometime.  I will share some other thoughts later, but for now here is a HUGE pethora of pictures.  This is a combination of mine and Justin's pictures and we just multi Shot a bunch, so they are not all original pictures, but I don't feel like sorting them right now! So if you feel like browseing through a TON of pictures, please do.

Here are the albums broken down by location.

Waynesville, MO
Carthage, IL
Nauvoo, IL
Adam-Ondi-Ahman, MO
Far West, MO
Liberty Jail, MO
Kansas City, MO (Independence Visitors Center)

Seriously, it was an amazing adventure with my family and I would recommend it for anyone.  It was crazy at times and it was noisy, and long and sometimes difficult. But I wouldn't trade any of it for anything.  I loved every minute of it!

And if you are looking at these pictures wondering what it all is, please ask.  I would be happy to tell you all about it.  But in a nutshell, it is some of the historical sites for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  It includes the city of Nauvoo, which was a strong part of our history, Carthage, where Joseph Smith, Jr, the prophet of the restoration was martyred, Far West and INdependence where saints were driven out with guns and swords from the state of Missouri. There are some amazing stories, and I'll share them if you want to hear them.

Just ask!
