Thanksgiving

So, We are having Thanksgiving at our house this year...but we are having it Friday night, instead of Thursday afternoon. Justin is on call this Thanksgiving!  His parents will be in town and WE ARE SO Excited!  I can't really complain about him working Thanksgiving. He has the whole week of Christmas off...CANNOT WAIT!  Anyway, I am starting to put together our menu for Thanksgiving...And I would love to hear any favorite recipes or menus for your family. We have some had some great Thanksgivings in the past, but I want to do the Turkey different this year. So please, share your recipes and menus, even if it is from previous years!  If we had a deep fryer, and I felt safer doing it by myself, I would totally do that...but we don't have one, and I don't really feel safe doing that! So any next best recipes?  I can't wait for Thanksgiving this year!  It will be great!

Pineapple Whip

1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Pineapple Juice
2 Eggs, beaten into the mixture
3 Tablespoons Flour
Mix the above and bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes
Add 2 Tablespoons of Butter
Chill
Mix in:
8 oz. Cool Whip
Miniature Marshmallows
Sliced Bananas
Maraschino Cherries
Decorate the top with maraschino cherries.

Super yummy! We also always had the classic green bean casserole, real mashed potatoes, yams & marshmellow casserole, homemade rolls. I've really liked Our Best Bites rolls, they always turn out no matter how humid it is here. Still haven't been able to get a pie crust to work down here in the South, but maybe will try one more time this year, sigh. Sounds yummy! Have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
