Party In My Kitchen

Okay, so my sister started this new business - Party in My Kitchen. (Isn't that an awesome graphic)  I am in AWE at what she can do with a day of cooking. If you haven't already done so, you should definitely jump over there and take a look at all she does!  I am so excited for her and can't wait for my summer visit when she will teach me how I can be a consultant too! You can jump over to her blog post here and take a look at how much time this process can save you!

But anyway, I actually wanted to send you all over to this OLD site of hers.  I know, it is just sending you over to her new site, but what I want you to see is that last little bit...But I will quote it here, so you don't even have to jump over there:
"In addition, I finally have my 4 month cookbook done.  If you are interested in purchasing it, just email me to let me know."

Okay, so yes, she's my sister. Yes I love her. But I want you to know that the following review of her cookbook is my heartfelt opinion on the book. Still after writing it, I am in awe.

My review______________________________________________________
As a sister of the author, I got to have a preview opportunity of this cookbook. The intent was that I would go through it and see how it looks and proofread it a little bit. I did that, but I also found myself pouring over the possibilities. I am trying to figure out how I can store these meals in my freezer as we speak so that I can start my once a month cooking experience. Currently, I am trying to figure out how I can squeeze the purchase of a small chest freezer into my budget so that I can have space to cook these meals in. But Michelle assures me that I would be surprised at how much I can fit in my little freezer. But can you imagine it? Spend a few hours one day cooking and eat for nearly the entire month. Then you can factor in leftovers which you are likely to have and that takes care of the remainder of the meals. 20 meals in about 4 hours.

The idea itself boggles my mind, but Michelle takes all of the mystery out of the process. The Party in My Kitchen Cookbook is a clear, concise method for cooking and storing food, by yourself or in a group. Whether you plan on doing it by the month or just for a week, this cookbook can take you to that next step. It has all of the answers and every detail that you could possibly need – shopping lists (even for multiple families), meal plans and labels for the freezer. It can easily cut your grocery bill in half. I am amazed just looking through the cookbook at the possibilities for me and my family. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to cut the grocery bill and save time in the kitchen. Michelle has done a great job putting together a user friendly cookbook that anyone can use – experienced and newbies alike! I am now looking forward to my first once a month cooking party…

Okay, so that was teh review that I wrote before dinner tonight. Tonight for dinner, I made one of her meals, on her meal plan 2!  We enjoyed the Easy Ham and Potatoes Au Gratin. Not only was dinner great and we all ate it well, but I also was able to double it and stick it in the freezer to throw in the oven in a couple of weeks. I really, honestly and truly look forward to my first Group Once a Month Cooking Party. So if you are in the OKC and interested in joining me once I am able to do one, then please leave a comment and let me and I will be sure to keep you posted!

But you should definitely email Michelle about getting a copy of her cookbook!  It will save you money, time and even probably a bit of your sanity!  Tell her I sent you!
